In the manga it didn’t happen as quickly as in the anime. I feel also robbed from the whole drama with Risha. Well, I can only say it’s a price which we pay for translating novel to two different mediums at the same time. Manga to the contrary focuses on how much of a pain Naofumi became to Glass for the sake of showing how helpful L'Arc and Therese are to her when Glass is in a pinch or fights someone strong. Anime tried to show her as powerful, but in the same time refused to acknowledge her weakness after Naofumi became stronger and focused only on this one caused by Soul Eater Shield. It looked as if anime focused on showing how “woohoo” battle is instead of focusing more on Glass and how she needed her party during the battle. It was shown to some extent, but focus was lost. Though I feel a little robbed about some stuff, like the relationship L'Arc had with Glass (meaning, she was acting as his superior and he was really good at supporting her during the fight in the manga, a lot of their interactions there were more fleshed out than in the anime).
